Joey Jarzynka joined the Polish National Baseball and Softball Foundation in January 2022.

 

Jarzynka is a freelance sportscaster, where he provides commentary for the Adelphi University Panthers' baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball teams. Wagner College Seahawks for its baseball and women's soccer programs. John Jay College of Criminal Justice Bloodhounds, for its men's/women's basketball and volleyball programs. Molloy College basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, and field hockey programs. He is also the regular public address announcer for the St. John's University softball program.

 

 Previously, Jarzynka served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communication at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights, where he was the media relations contact for women's basketball, women's soccer, and men's/women's tennis programs. He served in the capacity from 2018-2021.

Jarzynka founded the Eastern Observer, a website specializing in east coast sports. He currently covers the St. John's Red Storm and Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball programs on his beat. In addition, Jarzynka co-host's his podcast, "The Primetime Rundown," which can be viewed weekly on Friday nights.

 

In addition, Jarzynka hosts "The Scouts Minute" for organizational friend New York Professional Scouts Association, which can be viewed weekly on Saturday mornings.

 

During his summers, Jarzynka is the Director of Media Relations for USL League Two's FA Euro New York, based in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

 

As an undergraduate, Joey was named sports director and lead play-by-play talent of the university's radio station, "WSJU St. John's University Radio Network." He also served as an Athletic Operations & Communications intern respectively, where he worked with the university's basketball and soccer teams.

 

Before St. John's, Jarzynka began his collegiate career at Nassau Community College on Long Island. While obtaining his associate's degree, he partnered with the school's broadcast company, I-95 Sports and Entertainment Network, to kick off his broadcasting career. He was tasked with performing play-by-play duties for football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and tennis. 

 

 He graduated from St. John's University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in communications and a minor in sport management.

 

Jarzynka is currently pursuing his master's degree in Journalism, specializing in sports at Hofstra University on Long Island.
